It will be up to device manufacturers to bring Android 12 to your phone though, and that often takes months to do, so don’t be surprised if your specific handset isn't able to update to Android 12 until 2022. Then, devices from Samsung, OnePlus, Oppo, Realme, Tecno, Vivo, and Xiaomi are set to get Android 12 later this year. Shortly after the Google Pixel 6 launched on October 19, Android 12 became available for older Pixel phones, though the company hasn't released an official compatibility list.
